How It Works

1. Establish a Baseline

You'll start by meeting Kristina and discussing your specific pain.

  • What hurts?
  • What is holding you back?
  • What aren't you able to do anymore?

She'll explain the theory behind Posture Alignment Therapy and how it can help. In addition, Kristina will establish a baseline of postural photos against which to measure your progress in future sessions.

You'll begin your first in-person session immediately following.

2. In-Person Sessions

Kristina will use the following methods of discovery to pinpoint dysfunction and compensations exhibited by your body:

  • Postural photos
  • Hip joint palpation and observation
  • Gait analysis

Next, Kristina will make an assessment and create a take-home menu of corrective exercises to help you feel better. She'll guide you in performing each exercise, teaching you correct form. You become part of the healing process by providing feedback on pain levels and perception of your corrected alignment.

3. Your Take-Home Menu

Your customized menu will provide photos and detailed instructions for each exercise as well as personalized notes from Kristina. This routine should be practiced on your own each morning until your next in-person session. You will receive a printed copy of your menu at the end of each session.

You may also access your menu via our free mobile app. In addition to the photos and instructions, the app features:

  • Instructional videos on how to properly perform each exercise
  • A convenient exercise timer
  • A feedback tool which allows you to chart how you feel prior to and following your routine

I had never gotten depressed that I could remember, but I was familiar with the signs. Depression was setting in. I had been hurting for 13 years as best I could figure after throwing my back out working in my yard. Sciatica in my right leg down to my ankle was paralyzing me each afternoon and the demands of teaching was becoming too much to handle through the pain. I hurt most of the day and lying down was the only thing that seemed to give me relief. I was ready to retire! But I was only in my 50's! Through all those years I went to 4 doctors (one was ready to do ankle surgery!) and 3 different rehabs. I also went to 3 different chiropractors. Last spring, a doctor told me I had a bulging disc L4 and L5, which I had never been told. I received a series of 3 shots in my back, which gave me a liffle relief. I had tried lots of things and was running out of hope. Facing back surgery and dreading the thought, I was thinking I had no other choice. I was visiting a friend, Julia, who had been after me for several years to try [Posture Alignment Therapy]. It was successful for her so she suggested that I make an appointment with Kristina in Houston. By November I was in really bad shape, but after working with Kristina for a couple of hours, I could feel my hope return! She worked with me again the next day before I caught my plane to make sure I knew how to do the [exercises]. Since then Kristina and I have used Skype every 2 weeks or so to meet together for our appointment. We discuss the [exercises] on my menu, where we might need to make adjustments to the exercises, and how life is so much better! It has now been 6 months since I started [with Kristina]. I walk straighter, my eyes show hope, and the sciatica has gone away! I do my menu every morning before school and my tower at night, before bed. I am going to the gym again and that feels good. A couple of weeks ago I went to an exercise class and threw my back out. I could not even stand up. I was in extreme pain. I called Kristina at Pain Free Posture Clinic and she got me in the next day. My husband dropped me off and she worked with me between other clients. Kristina is awesome. She gives you individualized exercises to help with whatever may be ailing you: joint pain, migraines, etc. Or perhaps you're just aware that you may not have great posture and want to learn what good posture is... (this was me, and honestly, everyone needs this) well then she's perfect for this, too! She starts each session with pictures to track your progress in future sessions. She then takes you through a number of simple exercises to help activate or open up muscles and stretch the connective tissues that allow your body to just naturally fall into alignment. What's amazing is that you feel results right away. When doing exercises at home during the week, you can follow along with video and written explanations of the same exercises via their app or with a printout that she provides. I look forward to my visits each week as Kristina makes it fun, the environment is relaxing, and I feel better every time. Very highly recommended!

I can not say enough great things about Kristina. She has been life changing for me. I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and had terrible nerve problems with my legs. After trying everything for over 8 months (steroid injections, Chiropractor, stem cells, cyro, acupuncture) and nothing was working. By now my upper torso was permanently shifted over from my lower body. I could only walk about 30 steps before I had to sit down to relieve the pain. In early August 2024 a neighbor I spoke with concerning my posture, foot alignment, and a horrible gait from a surgery I had in June of 2012 recommended Kristina McDaniel at Pain Free Posture Clinic and I'm so glad I took her recommendation. According to a Podiatrist I had a Tarsal Tunnel injury from an accident I had in 2010. The doctor convinced me to have surgery to remedy my injury. Well it was a botched surgery and wish I had never agreed to have my right foot operated on. There are many options with other professionals instead of an invasive surgery. Here's the reality of working with Kristina, she has a great therapy for you, no matter your ailment. I will tell you. You MUST do the work weekly with her handouts or don't waste time or money!
